Question: How is it fair in the Bible to Hagar, that Abraham had Ishmael with her and then didn’t value that bond, and then said “I am going to get with Sarah” and then celebrating miracle Isaac and why did Hagar get thrown under the bus?
Sarah was the wife of Abram, and it was at her suggestion that Abram took Hagar, and produced Ishmael!
Despite that, Sarah was jealous of Hagar, and demanded that Abram send her and Ishmael away!
God then made Sarah produce Isaac with Abram, as per His promise, Abram’s name was changed to Abraham, (father of many nations); and also promised that Ishmael would be the father of 12 nations; but would be a “wild man”!
God stated that He would establish His Covenant with Isaac; (Abraham, Isaac and Jacob)!
God made many promises to His people Israel, some have been already fulfilled, but there are some yet to come to fruition.
One of the most dramatic is that “I will save My people Israel, for My Names Sake”; i.e. to show that God will never break His is word in the Bible; see Zech. 12:10, Ezek. 39:21-29 & Ezek. 11:14-21.
Like Abraham and Sarah, we must wait patiently and in FAITH, for the God Promised Events, such as the Return of Christ Jesus to Earth to saves the remnant of Israel, and to begin the Millennial Reign for the eventual defeat and destruction of Satan!
